It soothes, releases, and comforts. Wellness is characterized by feelings of vitality, flexibility, freedom from pain, contentment, and a sense of wholeness. A well person has a balance, and experiences vitality, flexibility, freedom from pain, contentment, and a sense of wholeness. You can nourish your health with frequent and regular doses of the necessary "medicine" of touch.
There is a perception common to most of our culture
that we take our bodies to healthcare professionals to fix us, much the
way we take our cars to a mechanic for repair. I have always been drawn
to the healing arts, and my studies of alternative healing modalities,
including Reiki, Therapeutic Touch, midwifery, herbalism, nutrition,
and bodywork, have led me to a different approach. It is my firm belief
that each person's mind~body~spirit has within it all that is needed to
create optimal wellness. This ability of the mind~body~spirit is only
limited by the conditions of its internal and external environment.
Teaching and learning is vital. We all need to share with each other
our own wisdom, our own best theories. My education continues every
day, with my clients and my community teaching me to help them heal
themselves, myself, and all that exists around us. The healing work I
am doing now is vitally important to me, and I can't imagine not doing
it.
I seek to assist you in creating optimal conditions
for wellness, by bringing you to a restful state from which your inner
sight can survey the scene and bring to conscious awareness what the
wisdom within knows. As I support you to discover your own best choices
and the opportunity to discover your own balance and a fuller
expression of health, the goal is for you to feel empowered and
connected to your core truths and the health-building and healing
potential within your being. Discovery and connection to this inner
guidance system has a profound and integrated effect on all aspects of
life and may be reflected in physical vitality, emotional balance,
mental clarity and creativity, spiritual connectedness and the peaceful
ease of harmonious relationships with others.
